Weekly Recap: Sept 18
Happy Sunday friends! I've spent much of my day writing a different blog post about our recent trip in collaboration with TN Vacation to Tullahoma over the weekend. I'll share a link once it's live on their site! In the meantime, here's what's going on in our life this week...
Monday - Wednesday: Jonas had his FIRST good week at school since he started over a month ago! All the praise hands! He stayed the entire day, took naps and was generally the awesome kid we know and love. This is such a HUGE weight lifted off of my momma heart knowing that he's adjusting and getting the rest he needs. To go from letting him nap whenever he wants to only onve nap per day has been difficult, but so worth it. It took a solid 2-3 weeks of consistency in nap times for him to finally adjust. Now he's getting much longer and and more restful naps, which is what he needed! I had a fantastic and productive work week thanks to Jonas going to school and I even managing to squeeze in two workouts...some cardio and a yoga class at BarreAmped.
Thursday: Jonas and I ran quite a few errands on Thursday. We learned that one of my dearest friend's grandmother passed away, so we spent the day running errands and picking up gifts from friends in order to make her a care package. It's honestly things like this that make my heart beat. I know how much it means to me when others are thoughtful and kind, so I love love love when I can do the same for others. I'm challenging myself to listen more attentively to those around me to better identify these opportunities. My own primary love language is acts of service, not gifts, so it takes some practice for me to commuicate this way but I love flexing those muscles.
Friday - Sunday: I had to attend a long meeting on Friday for one of our clients and Jonas got to hang out with his uncle (my brother) for most of the day! As soon as Josh got home, we road tripped to Tullahoma, TN for the weekend to sleep in a cabin, hike and explore in collaboration with TN Vacation. We wrote a seperate blog about our trip and I will share here when it's live. We made it back in town just in time to make an appearance at one of Jonas' "friend's" first birthday party, make dinner and get some cardio in. And of course I had to watch the new Bucket List Family vlog #goals....I'm so obsessed with this sweet family and their adventures.
Hope you all had a fantastic week! Say all the prayers for Jonas...his sleep schedule got all messed up over the weekend and I'm hoping he does well at school tomorrow! I have an all day work meeting tomorrow (12ish hour day) and it will be the longest I've ever been away from Jonas, so say all the prayers for me too! How do you all deal with being away from your babies for long periods of time? ALso, how do you keep them on a "schedule" when you're travelling? Leave all the tips!
All the love and rest, friends.
